What is Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) 2025

HAT is a standardized aptitude test introduced by the Higher Education Commission Pakistan. It measures your thinking skills: analytical, verbal, and quantitative.Your score is used not only for MS/MPhil/PhD admissions but also for HEC-funded scholarships.

Who Can Apply for HAT 2025

You are eligible to apply for HAT 2025 if you have:

  • Completed 16 years of education or are in the final semester of your undergraduate degree. 
  • Intend to take admission in an MS, MPhil or PhD programme at an HEC-recognized university. 
  • I want to apply for a HEC scholarship (indigenous or overseas). 
  • Even if you have appeared before, you can try again to improve your scores.
